- Mid-Market Rate
- This is the "real" rate derived from the midpoint between the "Buy" and "Sell" rates in global currency markets. This is the rate banks use to trade with each other. Our calculator displays this rate.
- Retail/Tourist Rate
- This is the rate consumers get. Banks and exchange bureaus add a "spread" or margin (profit) to the mid-market rate. If the real rate is 1.00, they might sell to you at 0.97. The difference is their fee.
